Je l&rsquo;\u00e9coutais sur un vieux poste cr\u00e9pitant, gagn\u00e9 \u00e0 la f\u00eate foraine, le soir dans ma chambre d&rsquo;\u00e9tudiante. Elle a accompagn\u00e9 ma fin d&rsquo;adolescence et ma vie de femme depuis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cat Power<\/strong> fait partie de ces chanteuses qui ne m&rsquo;ont jamais quitt\u00e9e et que j&rsquo;ai suivies ces ann\u00e9es durant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pr\u00e8s des arbres murmurant avec sa guitare (<em>Speaking for Trees, 2003<\/em>) ou sur un piano dans une ambiance de Nouvelle Orl\u00e9ans (<em>Wanderer, 2018<\/em>), elle m&rsquo;a toujours secou\u00e9e par ses propositions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Cat Power - Speaking For Trees Part 1 of 2\" width=\"840\" height=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RB0GDcOrOrM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption>Cat Power &#8211; \u00ab\u00a0Speaking for trees\u00a0\u00bb, 2003<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avec Cat Power, le d\u00e9cor sonore est aussi important que la m\u00e9lodie elle-m\u00eame, <strong>le tout devant servir une d\u00e9marche po\u00e9tique globale.<\/strong> Lorsque j&rsquo;ai visionn\u00e9 <em>Speaking for Trees<\/em> \u00e0 19 ans, j&rsquo;ai \u00e9t\u00e9 vraiment saisie. Les Inrocks parlent d&rsquo;un album d\u00e9pouill\u00e9 mais personnellement je n&rsquo;aime pas du tout ce mot. On y verrait presque des relents d&rsquo;Hugo :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Car la cr\u00e9ation est bien l\u2019un des seuls espaces de v\u00e9ritable libert\u00e9.<\/p><cite>Chan Marshall, 2018<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Marshall est engag\u00e9e socialement contre les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s et toutes les formes d&rsquo;ostracisme<\/strong>.
